What does it take to build from an idea scribbled on a scrap of paper to a business that reaches a $135 million acquisition agreement? On Wednesday, 5th of November, Andrew Yates joins us in Manchester to answer that question from lived experience.

In September 2005, Andrew wrote down seven business ideas over dinner. One became Artesian, part of the journey that later led to FullCircl and the acquisition agreement with nCino in 2024.

Andrew’s route into business was anything but predictable. He studied sports science, represented England Students at rugby, and moved into software through a junior sales role with a company that sponsored his rugby club. Over more than three decades in technology, he went on to co-found Artesian and work with major banks and regulated businesses before Artesian combined with DueDil and W2 Global Data Solutions to become FullCircl.

This learning session is a chance to hear how a business grows from early conviction to real scale, and to spend time with fellow entrepreneurs who understand the pressure, ambition, and decision-making that come with running a company.
